Engine rebuild update

The engine has been disassembled, washed and inspected.

First, the good news. The bottom end of the engine is good: block, crank and rods are in good condition. The bores are standard.

Now some bad news.

The head studs and piston liners are both rusted and are pitted and will need replacing.

Now the really bad news.

The head has a crack between the spark plug hole and the inlet seat (cylinder number 3). It will also need to be replaced.
